Siky Saw, what to do?

Unfortunately whilst climbing the other day, I managed to snap my Zubat 330mm blade.

I have a few options. :confused1:

I Was looking at getting either a 420mm Sugoi or Sugowaza saw? or do I get a replacement blade for my zubat and then buy a 300mm Gomtaro saw. The second option would mean I would have 2 saws and a choice of curved and straight blades for around the same money!

I look forward to hearing your answers.

Cheers.

Don't like curved blades, I like mini gobs and back cuts :001_smile:

Never seen a Zubat break . We use them extensively every day and no problems at all . The Zubat has a much more powerfull cutting action which is a must if your cutting larger limbs . Unless your a glutten for punishment or doing small trees i would stick with the Zubat at all costs :001_smile:

Ah the bastard I snapped mine about a month ago in a beech, luckily I had a spare although when I buy again I'd like a straight blade one.

Yes u can bud takes about 30-40mins to do all 3 edges. But have found the finishing cut to be rough compared to the blade being new

Why not buy a CeUk handsaw. I was thinking oh god those samurai ones are back, 10 months in and my trojan 250 is still strong and i got a replacement blade which made it pretty much the same cost of a silky!! but with another blade so hopefully another 10-12 months without worrying about buying.
