Well got stuck in today and job done for 2 o'clock all thats left to do is tip logs off in barn and off home we go:001_smile:

Of course because its friday the van completley cut out no lights on dash board and couldn't even lower the back down:sneaky2: was stuck there for two hours!! turns out it was an earth wire comin off the battery under the seat the fuse had blown. Im useless when it comes to things like this i only have duck tape and a large hammer in my tool box haha We ended up just earthin it from the battery to the engine to get it fired up.

That’s weird ! Our MEWP broke down today, 1.45 on a Friday (we finish at 2.45) We’ve been re-pollarding some Poplars all week in a public park, just finished the last tree, brought the MEWP down, had a tidy-up and then went to start it so I could put the legs up….NOTHING! :scared1: Just a click when you operate the switch.

I had visions of sitting by a MEWP till the early hours till the technicians turn up. After much discussion and deliberating (inc. a jump start) turns out it was the solenoid, so shorted it out with a combi-spanner and off I went on my merry-way. Can do without that kind of stress on a Friday, I can tell you!
