Sure did mate. Should of updated this when I had my purchase!

 

A few things combined made me go for the echo 300. The husky was the most expensive at about £640, yet had the same power as the echo. The stihl was about 20 quid less than the husky so was a better comparison money to power to the echo that was a mere(in comparison) £500.

 

Although an angled gearbox is not available for the echo like the stihl, there is an option to add an extra 1 meter extension and a hedge cutter head that can be used with the shaft extended. The only one that can be.

 

So, I felt with even price aside, the echo was a better choice out of the three. When handling all three machines, the build quality swung it for definite. The echo standards are something the "leading" names should take notice of, and given that my two echo hedge trimmers are 2008 machines with a good amount of use and no troubles, I've got plenty of faith in the long term reliability of this machine too.
