Think I've seen something similar on here or t'interweb before but figured I'd have a go at putting some business cards together for a friend's tree work business. I made it out of some old 5mm ply I had lying around. I burnt the lettering in with a soldering iron. Thought it'd be a nice touch if you're in the industry.

 

Like I say I'm not claiming originality here but be interested to know what you think.

Yeah was pretty sure i'd seen them before. They look machine done so i wouldn't be able to meet the 40p mark. I do mine by hand so probably looking at about £1 each.

 

Quite like the wooden cards as an idea though. I think if you hand one to a customer i think they'll be a little less likely to bin it like a traditional card.

If you have a spare few thousand quid you could buy a laser like mine. Each card takes approx. 40 seconds to do and every card looks exactly the same. The software is also expensive and you have to know how to use it properly. Bit of a steep learning curve!
