GreenMech are getting a couple of new "reps express/tow tugs" soon. They chose the new style Ford Ranger and I wondered how many are out there and what people's experiences are?

Nice to drive, as it's not yours probably less of a worry but a fair bit chunkier than anything else so scratching it in the woods is always on your mind. Try and get the roll out beds in the back as the extra height makes getting to what you want in the back a pita! Can't really talk about reliability yet!

I was asking a guy yesterday how he liked his , he said he's had it 7 months and been back at the dealer 4 times . Twice for rain water in the passenger floor and twice for engine management faults , which are still an issue .

I thought it looked great too , but he said the dealer told him they are getting a fair few back with engine management problems .

From speaking to a guy at ford, the wildtrak an the cersion below are on a 2-3yr waiting list here in leicester. The two 'lower' versions have a smaller waiting time though.

Theyve change to a beefier engine made out in south Africa i believe which other ranger nutts i know love

Do you know if that's the 2.2 or 3.2 ?

I`ve got a 3.2 one, OK so far touch wood, looks big but parked it next to a 58 reg Nissan navara, it`s about the same footprint but about 9" taller, same again parked next to an 03 reg ranger about a foot longer and a bit wider, and a fair bit taller.
