Arbortec Scafell chainsaw boots, green (class 1) | F R Jones and Son

I have had mine for nearly two years! Love them! I don't do awfully much up the tree, but a bit! As I am used to wearing mountain boots, I found them fine for walking, etc, and fine for climbing trees. Very comfy with spikes! And as for the OutDry system... Yarrrr.... love it!! Nice dry feet!! Even use them when I go shooting!!!

Finners. ;)

Life's full of up's & down's........Just keep it slowly both ways!!

(Especially when you in the tree!!)

A while back there seemed to be a bad batch of Haix, but my Protector Pro,s are still going strong since I got them at Jonesies open day, 22 months ago. Wear them for spiking and any wet jobs, including Stevie's summer snow. Bone dry today while standing in the river in Dufftown.

But I do like my Cofra boots. Crap in the wet after about 6 months, still in one piece after 2 1/2 years, but really comfy for any non-spiking work in the tree, plus you don't feel like Herman Munster when walking in them.

So are you saying that they have softened enough for general climbing?

Mine have. I found them clunky at first but now they are worn in they are great. Not as nimble as airstreams but a damn site more comfortable if you have slightly wider feet like me. A joy with spikes!

Favorite climbing boot is Airstream, first pair so can't comment on longevity but for comfort coolness agility they work for me. Been wearing Haix for years and still do for logging but I love Airstream. Tried on some of those Arbortec they were like ice climbing boots not what I want for trees.
