Yea it is better than it was I have to admit but still a relative slug . T540 strait out of the box was as good as a 200t and improving all the time . On another planet when compared to the 201 ......

Fair enough, never used the husky one, I reckon I'll wait a year to see if there are any teething pains before I consider one.

so your saying when its worn out and modified it works for a bit?:confused1:

No, run in is not the same as worn out. Any new saw will improve slightly with a few tanks through it.

The modification is a simple one, for a noticeable gain. Shame Stihl couldn't have put it as standard, but you know, emission compliances etc :001_rolleyes:

Husky had to meet the same emission regs as Stihl Though . I did take the spark screen out of the Husky strait away but no hole drilling .

What you do is... Cut trees down and leave the carb to do its thing

This arrived for me today Mark.

Thought long and hard about a replacement for my tired old 440, which was a great saw.

I know from experience that Huskys probably require a bit more love on the maintenance front, but I think it will be worth it.

My 200T is at the menders, and when that needs replacing I'll also go with the 540.

I have heard from a few folks, including a Stihl dealer who is always dead straight with me that the 201's are improving though.ImageUploadedByArbtalk1379523804.318159.jpg.1d9e11061d79632058cf53fae8cfaa74.jpg
