ms 261 needle bearings collapsed...

Hi, my lovely saw, squealed when I fired it up after its monthly clean and sharpen up, oh dear I thought but then no further probs. A short while later I thought I had better check the needles as I forgot to grease, so in I went and to my horror they fell apart in my fingers. My mate had one of the originals and had so many problems with his as his needle bearing lasted approx 4 hours. I did ask when I bought this a year and a half ago if still had sorted this out and I was assured that it had been. I just wondered if anyone else suffered this problem?

have 2 of them and both had problems with needle bearings collapsing and both had crank replaced.. Fortunate for me under warranty and gustharts done a good job.. Would not purchase another as been told they have had problems in the past.. stick to the 362 since they stopped the 341
