Hi all, anyone got a TR16 as I'm looking at getting a new chipper and would like the lowdown on these machines. Their website make them look awesome but are they really? Thanks for any help you can give.

You mean the TR6? Now that the teething problems have settled down it seems to be well liked. I have only used one for 30 minutes but the lads rate it.

I do like the Jensen spider though, it has similar controls to the Forst, and I think it's better than the greenmech 1928s but possibly not as good as the bigger older 223?? for ground capability,

Sorry. Wonder how it compares to the quadtrack? I would prefer the tilt and swivel of the quadtrack but I like the width of the forst and the build quality and 3 year warranty. What's the cost? PM if you want. Thanks

I cannot help with costs, they belong to firms I do work with. The quadtrack wasn't liked as it didn't feed as well as the others, appeared to have a high CofG and seemed a bit flimsy for the rough and tumble of utility arb.

Service and back up from both firm's is excellent but getting spares for the greenmechs is a hassle.

I had a good look round the tow Chipper and was very impressed. Unfortunately according to the brochure, it's well over the 3/4 ton weight threshold.

they look very well made and will get through a narrow access, just wondering the price?? its the 3 year warranty thats appealing also.

Visited Saltex last week and saw the new tr6 on the jensen / forst stand.

Had the low down on the features and it certainly impresses me on specs and build quality.

I was looking at the road tow but may well get a price for both when the finance people ring me this week.

Its supposed to be top end of the 6inch market but I think the 3 yr warrenty and build quality outweigh the extra costs.
