Takes on hell of a pull to start ?? I'm as weak as a kitten nowadays but I can start mine ! Took the spark screen out of mine strait away . Sopu8nds ok to me . Not making a big fuss , just better than a 201 .

are any of these t540's actually sporting the flip-up filler caps that are listed as a feature? of the 'real life' pics ive seen so far, not so much with the flippy...:confused1:

 

I don't like the flippy up caps . I prefer the screw in ones . The flippy cap on the oil tank on a 201 can deceive you especially if its overfilled and not tipped to get the bubble out . Not a regular occurrence but has been known to empty the oil on the way up . with a screw in cap that don't happen .

Unfortunately not.

 

I spoke to husky UK the other week and atm there is no further info on whether they will be available in the future. Which is a bit of a shame.

I know how poor the stihl caps are.. just wondered if the 540's actually have the new husky caps? As ive seen pics of them with regular screw caps...

I see, so the flippy caps are falsely advertised as a feature... shame.

 

Stubby ; the new husky caps look pretty sweet. A classic husky screw cap but with a flip out grip, and interchangeable with standard screw caps.
