Lawn Mower Drive Belts - money saving

Anybody know if there's a table that details the size of various self propelled and sit on mower drive belts?

 

Basically I want to be able to source v belts that aren't badged or marketed for specific mowers - the price for these belts when marketed as mower specific seems ridiculous for what they are.

 

Also interested in any reasonably priced supplier of these.

I always stick to genuine belts where possible Mike. Non genuine belts seldom last as well as the genuine item.

Many genuine belts have lengths that fall between the 'stock' belt, and wedge angles too are often different.

Also have to make sure that 'raw edge belts' are not used in clutching situations.

 

I agree that some original belts (lawnflite in particular) are well overpriced, but I have found it cheaper in the long run.

Recently had a mower that the owner had used none genuine and they lasted about 2 months before they went.

 

Genuine are better when it comes to ride ons.

I had a " pattern " belt on my old Husqvarna 4 wheel steer mower . Lasted a few weeks . Got a genuine one and its still on there 3 years later ........

you can get good now genuine belts that last as long but they are very very hard to find as you want high fabric belts for cylinder or decks drive so I would recommend getting genuine belts any day
