I don't mind getting pulled over because it gives me smug satisfaction to witness all the scumbags getting caught.

Plus I'm always courteous enough to congratulate VOSA, Police, HMRC chaps on their good work.

👍

Just out of curiosity what actually happens to the poor thieves that are stopped and searched, other than the beginning of a bad day!

easy-lift guy

Depends on what they have done.

No ins, fine, ticket, car taken until they get ins and go and get it paying for the towing costs etc.

Not tax,, car taken ticket given, court.

Overweight, they either lose some weight or lose the load. Plus fine and points.

Some just lose there car.

Thanks for that bit of info. Restrictions on fuel type here are not a stringent as in the UK.

I think it would be neat if their car or truck were impounded and as part of their punishment, were required to go to a scrap yard where the means of transport was condensed to a smaller version and than sold for scrap.

While out and about yesterday in my land rover I got directed by police into a checkpoint set up with police, vosa and hmrc,I couldn't believe my luck!

Anyway after having my id checked, diesel tank dipped, and vehicle given a cursory inspection I was allowed on my way. phew !!!

After all the checks I was told that the operation was targeted at the high sided transit touring club and scrap metal fraternity, looking at the several vehicles parked there I imagine a good days hunting was had!

Is'nt it good to see something being done for the honest people among us?

Where was the stop site ?

A farmer friend of mine got pulled years ago pulling a cattle trailer behind a Landy. The inspectors had been through his trailer and found a few beads of sheep sh17 and had a go because he'd got cattle on board and hence "had not cleaned the trailer properly". He was duly unimpressed, but then they told him they were going to dip his diesel tank.

Farmer was adamant that this was not happening as long as he was drawing breath and inspectors were of course adamant that they were going to dip the tank.

After a few rounds of this discussion, farmer pointed out that the Landy was (you've guessed it) a petrol...

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Love it.

I used to love the series 2a with dual tanks. Most coppers now don't know they have them so would be very easy to get away with it...... Really missing my old one now.:laugh1:

Have you never ever in your life run overloaded?? Congrats if you've not, but if you got pulled and were overloaded would you then be a 'scumbag'?
