Ex military gortex jacket and trouser combination, available from any surplus shop, you can get a nice large fit so you can wear a nice cosy fleece underneath, try to get the trousers with zips down the legs so you don't have to take your boots off to put them on, they are pretty good value and wear well.

Same as High Scale, my old military gortex. They are much stronger than your average outdoor gortex and nice and baggy. Only downside is the colour, they are meant to keep you hidden in the undergrowth, so your groundy may not be able to see you too well.

Army gor-tex for working in really rough weather, its about the most durable and comfortable.

And Rab vapour-rise smock/jacket for drizzle, extreme cold windy days, its not waterproof just resistant, it drys very quickly and keeps you very comfortable. Is fairly pricey at £80 rrp for a smock.

Have been looking at Paramo smocks for some time, they do not rely on laminates for waterproofing, just layered polyester, so small tears are not a problem and is easily repaired. But they are thick and far to warm for for summer. They are designed to be worn with a harness.

I don't know what brands you guys have over there. I used to work in an area that got as much rain if not than what you guys get. I kept buying cheapo rain gear until one day we working next to a sailing supply shop. I went in and bought sailing foul weather gear. It has worked the best of anything I have ever tried.

I wear a Gill foul weather bib and on top I wear something called a dinghy smock which has elastic around your waist, neck and wrists. It also breaths very nicely.

Here is the top I wear. It is tight to your body so it doesn't get caught in your friction hitch. It can be a pricey way to go but it is well built stuff and will last. Hey the prices are in pounds so Gill must be over there.
