What to do with sawdust

after cutting up wood for a few months im starting to walk round a 1/2 a foot higher on a bed sawdust .what do you guys do with your sawdust ? Can it be burnt made into logs? Or is it doomed to the compost...

 

 

i give mine to the lasses at the stables, they use it in the paddock area

If its undercover and dry, a small scale pellet mill will pelletize it into a high value product.

 

Has to be kilned though doesnt it? My mate has just invested in a bit of kit to get rid of sawmill offcuts- it looks like an oil refinery!!!- and he kilns the lot before he can use it.

If you can keep it reasonably "clean" and bag it up and keep it dry then a farmer with livestock will take it (trailers, bedding etc etc). My neighbour takes mine in exchange for some red derv that all goes to make some more. Saves him buying it in and me getting rid:thumbup1:

This all assumes that it's not chainsaw / oily stuff!
