Yep XTC fire seems a popular one, I've only ever used two climbing ropes but really liking the flexibility of the XTC fire, oh and most importantly the colours are pretty :001_smile:

Dunno what I'm gonna do with it...

Bungee rope, tow rope, lowering rope, make some kind of medieval catapult with it the list goes on.

My 45m tachyon takes up less space than my 32m gecko lowering rope and weighs less too.

I love rope names, scorch, blaze, velocity, lightning, python, poison ivy.

Why can't we have realistic rope names that reflect more appropiately the climbers who use them, like Samson old boy, or Elderid dreadz, New england manky or Yale prima donna?

this might be a poll job :sleep1:

thanks everyone for helping

Why are you climbing using a small biege lizard ? An isnt that a bit cruel?

:001_smile:

dont worry i bought it off a traveller, he told me this gecko has special abilities to help you get up the tree, but i think it's time for a more traditional way of getting around the tree tops. i cant afford the gecko upkeep plus they're quite hard to potty train.:sneaky2:

I climb on edelrid experience, new england fly and tachyon and normal xtc and scorch but scorch would be my choice if i had to choose one.

Thing is they are all good for different things the higher you go the new england 11m ropes come in to there own especially for tip work like light reductions but for heavy felling work and the average tree thats not over 45ft the scorch has plenty o weight to pull slack and you can grip with out gloves and i hate gloves!
