work methodically, what saw you have makes f**k all difference if you can't use it properly. make sure your shapening and maintence are good then work safe, think through what you are doing don't just jump straight in.

Hi guys today was crunch day for my new saw. Today my new saw had to be put to work .

I kitted up in my PPE and batterend down the hatchs . I looked at the mountain of wood to be sliced up in front of me . For my first cut I selected a small branch as not sure what the saw was going to feel like as it ate its way through or how much presure you should apply . so decided on gently does it . brought saw down gently and it sliced it up like butter . The day progressed and I continued on the small bits and all went well .

later I had had a go at some slightly thicker bits therse were ok but the saw felt different as it ate its way through the thicker lumps . throughout the day I checkd the chain oil and fule I had to top up a couple of times as it was quite thursty on fule

now at home the saw and manual is on the table to clean it up after its days work.

Any tips on after care would be great ?

Thanks

just give it a regular good blow over with an airline, and when you clean the air filter, take it off and blow it from the inside out, making sure that you keep the carb bunged up with a bit of tissue to stop the crap you blow out from going in.:thumbup1:

thanks for replys i dont have an airline but will dust it down and check air filter . Have checked blades and they are still nice and sharp. Will check that each day and sharpen when needed . I am having trouble understanding all the stuff about the chain. depth pitch and all this other stuff to do with chain. If anyone can go through it in really simple terms that would be good. I have to understand it for CS30 . Thanks eastwater
