thread resurrection!

this went on the back burner as I got nowhere, however I now have a woodburner again so I'm having another crack at it. Having a hell of a job getting the clutch off, just grind the end of the socket flat you say?

Wont start now so carbs off to be cleaned, given it a good spray with carb cleaner and will put new gaskets on, will also bung a new spark plug in. the coil(?) lead comes out at the module, is it a push in or do I need a new one?

Anything else I need to look at?

Thanks for the help, my other option is get a 435 but I reckon this will be a better saw if I can get it going and cash is a bit tight right now

Success! thanks to the advice on here the clutch is off, the brass pinion looks ok but the oilpump is pretty stuck. Got a used one off ebay ready to put on.

I think the next thing to look at is the ignition module, the wire pulls out, should it do that?

Anyone know where I might get one, used or decent copy would be fine.

Which wire? The HT wire or the kill wire? The HT wire should screw in I believe! If the coil can spark across 5-8mm, it should be OK!
