not for one minute saying saying iam the only man for the job and the only guy with the kit and access is a dream however that price he gave is doing it for free. open forum opinions are opinions an thats mine. i would like to know how hes so cheap. and just spoke to another guy who does stumps and he said the same maybe were just too expensive :thumbup:

 

Ok fair enough, but out of interest how long would it have taken you and what machine?

i would of allowed two days but i think a full day might suffice it was an old hedge an combination of sycamore and elm stumps all suckering so basicly i will be rotavating a 1 meter wide by 10 meters long strip the ground is built up around the stumps so there is about a foot of crap thats built up over many years blar blar

So therein lies the rub, you competitor gambled on a day. Ps you didn't say what machine you use!

£900 - £1000 a day for stump grinding, no wonder you were undercut, if it was 2 full days then i would say thats more like it

Im suprised you have anywork chanring Grand a day for strump grinding

 

well the price is for the the job done not a day rate and thats that thanks for your concern gents :thumbup:

By no means am i having a go mate, just cant get my head round if you can do the job in a day, so be it a long day then why not price it for a day pluss some for extra hours

 

You know your machine, its capabilities, the location and the work. All we can do on here is comment on the info that we are given

no problem and this guy gave his estimate first i was then contacted through recommendation to give a quote the guy whos job it is said even he though it was a bit cheap and hes a builder.
