I looked into these when I was considering what to go for but the rating on the palfinger site was as below, hence why I said what I did, to get the lifting capacity I need I would have had to go for the pc3800 which is a pretty pricey piece of kit.

Palfingers are really nicely built cranes though and that looks a nice setup.

Nowt at the moment as blowen the seals on the hand pump and stript a tooth On the worm cog On the slew, was only picking up the log splitter:banghead:

It's ment to lift 450kg at 1.2m and 250kg at 2m but am sure have lifted more at times. It's so handy for all sorts of things that's why I'm looking for something bigger so I can save on ringing timber just to give it away. Ist also so handy for lifting the little rg13 grinder over walls into gardens and bags of rubbish back out.

Does your trailer tip...?

Yes it tips, quick way to unload ;)

Cutting stuff smaller is ok if it's just firewood quality but I often want to lift bigger bits to mill or beams I have mill or carved chairs so the Crain is invaluable for this but handy the rest of the time.

One line of thought we had a while back and wounded if any1 had or knew of a landrover with the rear tub removed and a crane fitted On like many have done with mogs be it on a smaller, cheaper scale, this way maximising the available towing capacity?
