Are we allowed to post photo's and criticise others work (regardless of how bad it is)?

That wasn't the point of my post, i was having a go at the Local Authority for not taking any action with this kind of work being carried out on protected trees

That's fine:thumbup:

But unfortunately it then brings out the "Oh my god look how rubbish that is" band wagon parade:001_rolleyes:

Also that still isn't really the point of this post, I was commenting on how the local authority have not done anything regarding the way these PROTECTED trees have been 'pruned'?

I quoted for the work, I have been doing this far to long to get bitter when I see another company doing work which I wanted, what does get up my nose is when the local authority will allow this shoddy sub standard work to go ahead, not only does it look awful, be terrible for the tree but it also sets the standard for others to work to. If gardeners and tree surgeons starting out with not a great deal of tree knowledge will see a well a stablished company doing work of this standard they may think that it is acceptable...

This happens right across the country. I think lpas are a bit reluctant to do anything legally expensive in this sort of case, preferring to use their powers in cases of deliberate damage or felling. I do wonder how many tree surgeons claim all work meets, or 'exceeds' 3998, having clearly not read it, maybe even seen it.
