Thanks Will:thumbup::)

Hey...remember you were the first response on my desperate day.....at the very beginning of my thread;) small world....the tree world.

Certainly is mate! I can relate back to those times, fresh out of college and still finding it incredibly disheartening trying to find reliable work in this industry.

I'm so happy that we both managed to battle through and that things turned out alright for us. You found Chris and I found Asplundh here in New Zealand - Good times my friend :thumbup::beerchug::beerchug::beerchug:

Has Chris taken you for a night out on the toon yet? :thumbup: ...make sure your round doesn't fall on the champagne bar, I lost most of my days wage on 3 drinks lol :thumbdown:

I still can't believe I've got AA Aproved Contractor status. At school I did the bare minimum to get through only being interested in art...and girls. Left school hoping to get into the fire service but due to cut backs that never happened, got I to raves and staying up all night living for the weekend doing bits of crap for work in dead end jobs. I pretty much fell into tree work due to taking my first two trees (chestnuts) down with am old husky and did it the way we frown upon today, a good joiner friend of mine who ironically I live next to now had a van and we borrowed a trailer to get rid of the timber and brash, he told me there was a course at Kirkley Hall you could attend to learn tree surgery. I thought that was a great idea as wearing a suit and working in an office really didn't speak to me. I went to kirkley and signed up, I scraped through college with more interest in the horsey girls than trees although I got a real enjoyment from the days climbing we did a week. Since leaving college I have been through very hard times in business but my moto has always been get the best and be the best I could. I have always strived for good kit as I have a passion for spending money! Trees have really given me the life I wanted and now to have AA Approved Contractor status is still far beyond my beliefs.

I had the potential to do it all I needed was a push in the rite direction and to find somebody who believed in me and the business, 7 weeks ago I met this person Paul Banister aka Silky Fox. Since meeting Paul things have really come on leaps and bounds so a massive thank you to you Paul mate.

Have a fantastic day tomorrow with Oscar and your family.
