any body have a rough idea what a l/r 110 xc crewcab does to the gallon around town ,no towing

In the last few years I had mine it did more like 30, but that was due to little towing on reasonable runs.

 

The tipper I have now though that's always either full or towing, or both, does 20 if its lucky. It has been opened slightly though, and I don't spare the gas:001_huh:

That's within the bounds of possibility but to get MPG like that you wont be having any "fun"

The official quoted figure is a combined 28mpg, so that might be a little hopeful for most around town. I don't have a landie, but would expect 18-22mpg around town looking at the figures.

I guess around town must mean a very different thing in out local towns!

Surely it largely depends on tyres, average load being carried on daily basis, condition of roads in your area, whether the town is in flat Lincolnshire or half of it is on a 1:6 slope like Ambleside and how aggressively one drives, etc. etc.
