I've got this pile of logs I've been building up/tree I'm taking down. If I offer it for firewood should I pay someone to take it away or expect to get £1000 for it?

Neither because you are already taking the 200ft beech down for free over a green house to get the firewood.

You can't they're mutually exclusive.

How about; My boss pays me 2 pound an hour, sexually abuses me and has demanded that I surrender my first born to him, is this reasonable?

Usual answer, "You're lucky to have a job"
