Weather is looking fair for you guys so I'm planning the long trip up. Would be good to meet some arbtalkers up there. So on Saturday I will be mostly wearing one of my arbtalk t-shirts and a black fleece with orange shoulders. I will probably have my black muffs on too! The secret password is "Hello".:lol:

On a more serious note, I hope you all stay safe and enjoy your day.

Good day today at the event, lots of amazing carving with Pete Bowsher taking the top honours with his amazing 'Blast from the past', a larger than life axe man. Some good carves from others too, including an inventive carve from Mal McEwan who took the best newcomers award with his gnome riding a dragonfly. :thumbup1:

fantastic day carving. Amazed at what some of the others managed to do in such a short time! I was just glad to finish on time, made no big mistakes and my charity quick-carve piece also sold well :) Im hooked on this competitions carving now

Dave did you stick around for the charity auction? I've no idea what they all went for.

Had a great but exhausting day, met some top carvers and arbtalkers alike, sorry I didn't get to speak to everyone, I was frantically trying to keep up to speed with the rest:laugh1:

Anyone got any pics, I was going to snap some but my phone died:thumbdown:
