Just got this blower (strangely over excited about a blower)

Pulled over a few times started up I gave it a little throttle and it died out and now I can't get anything from it. Left it over night tried agin this morning and its not giving me anything.

Manual says to start it on half choke.

I've put aspen 2stroke in it is that ok?

Any thoughts as why I can't get it going?

I've tried starting it with choke/half on and on

I've looked at the manual several times. Tried starting it as if it was flooded. Left it overnight tried cold starting it with choke on. I'm not getting a sausage.

It's giving me a pretty good work out!!

I've never not been able to get a machine going before this. especially something new :blushing:

I know what your saying about the aspen but I'm converted to the stuff now.

Im sure the BR600 is the 4 stroke engine.

Putting Aspen 2T wont really help either, If im wrong fair does but im sure its 4 Stroke.

(STIHL 4-MIX engine

You can always rely on STIHL to keep setting new benchmarks this time with 4-stroke mixed lubrication technology. The STIHL 4-MIX engine, which runs on a fuel-oil mix just like a 2-stroke, offers the benefits without the compromises of 4-stroke power. STIHL 4-MIX engine technology provides fast acceleration, more power, added torque, lower noise, reduced emissions and increased fuel efficiency to complete jobs quickly, quietly and more easily)

Stupid stihl make it a 4 stoke but still takes 2 stroke fuels.... confused.com

4-mix runs on 2stroke mix like all Stihl kit. Aspen will not cause any problems.

When the 4-mix engines first came out Stihl said you could use the Red 2stroke oil. But these engine started to coke up so Stihl now recommends the use of their Green 2stroke oil which is cleaner but more expensive. Because Aspen fuel is cleaner and the 2stroke is very high quality Aspen2 will be even better for your engine than using the Green Stihl oil and normal petrol. I was talking with the Stihl Tec men at the FR Jones show today and they have no problems with the use of Aspen in Stihl machinery. Take the machine back to the dealer and get them to fix it under warranty or show you how to start it, if the is a special way!?! sure there is not but check with your dealer.
