What to to with 10acres of woodland?

Hi all,

A friend of mine has acquired 10 acres of woodland. This is a small section of a much larger wood. The plots were sold off to individual buyers.

The question is, what should he do with the woodland? He asked me and the first thing I said was ask ArbTalk!

So far he is allowing a nearby segway experience use part of the wood and other owners are allowing a miniature railway line to be constructed and bird hides to be built.

The wood consists of Scots Pine, Pedunculate Oak, Rowan, Silver Birch, Holly, Rhododendron, and one random Beech tree!

A campsite is due to open local to the area so this will be an advantage. The idea of bike hire has been mentioned.

Does anyone have any new suggestions? Even crazy ones!

Thanks for reading, Lee
