Hello all

Got given this ms200t, safe to say it's seen better days..

Will send it to spud for a makeover soon but wanted to do a few bits on it myself in the meantime.

the lower rubber vibration mount (No2) detached from the saw, and left a flat looking washer (No1), how do you remove the flat looking washer to fit a new mount?

is Part No. 1116 790 9600 / Annular Buffer/Rubber Mount for Stihl 020T, 020 - 1116 790 9600 | Stihl MS200/MS200T/020/020T Chainsaw Spares all i need? i don't see how it fixes to the saw, handle bar yes, saw no.. :blushing:

Yep what he said. Think its a 19mm or 22mm, off head can't remember. The new buffer will also have this flat bit but its attached. Be carefull when putting new one in as its easy to rip it off the buffer. It's only glued on.

Hand tight forst with some locktite, then a tweak with a spanner. When you do the handle on it will pinch the whole lot up in one go, but again be a bit carefull as you can rip he whole buffer apart if too heavy handed.

Really:confused1:

Why would you loctite it, can't really see any need, its not a part that I've ever known come loose.

Quite right, the rubber is held firmly from the other side so they just don't work loose.

Using locktite (Other brands are available) will only make someone's life difficult in the future

Its a 20mm open ended spanner thats needed, and if the old one is tight you may need to ensure that the spanner is 'sharp', i.e no rounded edges, as the plate (nut) is very thin.

Sorry Richard, but I agree with the others on the loctite issue. No need.

Loctite is often used as 'belt and braces' where there is absolutely no need and it just makes future work difficult.
