they are excellent, great with spikes as well, just reach round and its there. best 20quid i have spent in ages. i was working in a small rowan though the other day, and it was a bit of a pain, kept getting stuck behind small branches so i just put it on my thigh instead:001_smile:

i had that problem today!

Why do you fellas use a hand saw on take downs? (assuming so since wearing spikes) or is it just part of your kit and something not to be without :001_smile:

you still get small branches on take downs, great for epicormics. before my gekos i would always stick the silky between the leather straps in my spikes, but with the velcro straps on the gekos it fits on better. i should get some saw pod comission me thinks:001_tongue:

thats about all they are good for, wasps of the chainsaw world, get an 026 mate:001_tongue:

You need to run a ported one. Will out-cut a stock 260 with a 14in bar in smaller wood. Besides who would want to carry such a saw around a tree working on small timber?

As for the saw-pod. I'm not a fan. Guess I am too clumsy as I spent half of my time getting my silky tied to my rope to retrieve it from the ground. It is however comfortable and well concieved. The one I won in the raffle has been sent to a much appreciated home.

what do you mean by ported?is this a customised or off the shelf?

i have always ran a 13inch bar on my 026s, wouldnt entertain anything bigger, makes them too slow imo:001_smile:
