Cant believe no ones mentioned baby oil!? I thought everyone knew about that. Works a treat. Although a bottle of baby oil in the shower might give visitors the wrong (or right) impression.

Wd40 is amazing stuff a windscreen replacement firm got sealant all over my leather Landcruiser seats. I removed a small area of colour so gave up and took it to a specialist they got it all off with no problem or damage with wd40.

Here's the advice coming from Andy at Farm in my Pocket:

"I've had some success with crunchy peanut butter believe it or not. Scrub really well with it, then wash off with soap and water.

If that fails, a mixture of sugar and ecover washing up liquid is a powerful detergent scrub: and as a last resort this stuff is safe enough for occasional use.

De-Solv-It

You could also try neat tea tree oil. Whatever you use, moisturise well afterwards."

Petrol

Toxicological overview

Prolonged skin exposure to petrol may cause a variety of dermatitic conditions and is

generally a result of inadequate or inappropriate use of personal protective equipment

... just sayin' ;)

Moisturiser or hand cream works well, the grease in it seams to break it down.

Petrol is definitely no good for your skin after having once worn a pair of petrol soaked chainsaw trousers all day (fuel cap error)
