Not to be confused with TC's latest vid, here's a short vid of a Deodar removal from last week. Was helping a mate out with this one, job was on the west coast. Anyway...bit of cutting, bit of rigging (to save an much loved Azalea), bit of felling at the end. Most of the larger diameter timber is being milled.

Might want to change the quality to 480p

Glad to hear that the timber is being milled - lovely timber Deodar. No timber smells finer - I remember when I had some of it in the kiln that you could smell it from 30 yards away (vented kiln).

cheers for the positive words folks, glad you liked it. aye broonie, great views in that part of the world. David, I agree, loud saw noise is annoying in vids, tree came down for a few different reasons, none major but when taken all together the homeowner decided it just had to go, not really related but it's removal has opened up the view to two Sequioa sempervirens (Coast Redwoods) in the in same garden which can be seen clearly from the house now. Big J, not sure who is doing the milling? someone with a mobile mill anyway as there is no access to take the wood away in the large lengths required.
