Ours has done 82 hours now and is fine so far.

One thing you may not realise is, you must buy genuine filters from Redwood for your guarantee to last the three years.

Probably applies to all parts.

Jensen blades are similar and cost 80 quid, greenmech discs 40 quid, so a set is about the same yet you can turn the greenmech 3 times. How many times may each be sharpened? and at what cost?

GreenMech gives a two year warranty, conditional on correct service regime and using recommended service items which you may source yourself.

One cannot definitively say how long any blades last. My guys used to rotate the GreenMech blades little and often hence the wear pattern was good and our overall blade life was incredible. I had one for 3 years and then another for 2 years before we finished and we never brought any blades. The third machine had reversible blades and we usually got 2 sets a year. The GreenMech machines did more hours too as they were better to feed. Being mounted in a cup, the round blades also caused less consequential loss should a rail clip or such go through. A surface mounted flat blade could explode and come out via the wrap or take out the shear bars!

I had that happen twice and it was an expensive noise!

Thats a grey area and goes for any machine, as long as geuine filters are used and its serviced to spefication, they're should not be a problem, Kubota engine filters can be found at good prices on net, just quote engine model and number,Fuel filters to be honest doesnt make any difference what is fitted, you could put a inline sock in it and it would do the same job! (but use genuine to save greif) Hydraulic filters can be a little more tricky, but seems its built in the UK Id put money its got FBN ones in in it, which are readliy avalible. What is very important is the correct grade of engine oil is used, this is often overlooked and out weighs any brand of filter used. It all comes down to doing a bit of research to save a bit of wedge!

In this instance it's not a grey area, you use filters bought from them, that's it.
