Drag to about a foot of the end of truck grab far two loops and pull over. Logs fall out on to floor bag should stay in truck. Just watch ankles if standing on floor and tipping

this was a well rotted woodchip delivery and that stuff is heavy, the fuel consumption goes up a bit dragging the toy digger about but beats buying a crane or handballing

I deliver exclusively in bags.

 

Load with a teleporter or similar on pallets onto a low bodied trailer with ramp.

reverse up to where customer wants bag, roll it off with a pump truck. I use an 8x5 IFW GD85, 4 foot pallet on the front, europallet on the back, pump truck behind that, tight fit though, usually needs a poke with the teleporter to create enough room.

 

Dragging a bag will convert it into a tube in double quick time, not a good idea if you want to re use the bag.

 

Customer keeps bag and pallet until empty, yes you do loose an odd one from time to time but thats all.

When I did logs in bulk builders bags I fixed a Lucas swing lift to the back of my truck. Worked well.

If it's local I take tractor and trailer, unhitch and lift the bag off with pallet forks. If I go in the Land Rover and trailer on my own I throw a few logs out till it's light enough to pull the bag over and tip out the back of the trailer.

 

Tractor deliveries are best cos I can lift the bags over fences etc. straight to the log store

I deliver in a 4x4 sprinter panel van just slide the bags down a short ramp usually into their garage and bags will slide on the concrete with minimal tearing. just ordered a new 4x4 dropside with a palfinger crane for delivery in september.

its not hard at all, just grab the bag by the ears and pull, usually lands upside down so you get your bag back:thumbup1:
