How the Industry seems to be at the moment and the media are always saying there is no jobs, he is lucky to get that offerd he would be stupid to say no as working for £10 a day is better then sitting at home with nothing in the bank and no experience which is more important then money as he has only just left college.

hi all, on behalf of a friend, he has been offred a 3 day a week job as a groundy on books, he has just finnished college about 2 weeks ago, with some experience.

He is 20 but has been offred a minimum wage, plus training, kit, week sick and holliday pay and couple of other benifits.he already had cs30 and 31.

I thought it was ok, as ive been in the industry for about a year and get 60 a day.

What do other think of this offer

its a job!!! tell him to take it & get on with learning the trade ,if hes that intrested in the job

Isn't it shocking that newbies are earning the same or less than 15 or 20 years ago.

And yes tell your mate to take the job.

True but since then I'm yet to see a labourer get any more done in a day today than they did back then ?.
