I've got the old man working the posch vertical he splits about 1.5 cube an hr depending on the diameter. I recommend getting the table extended though we had the local welder add some wings to it and its now about 4ft wide so when you split something pretty large you dont have to gather it all from ground lvl again.

Thanks Logsnstuff.

Too late I am afraid have gone for the Krpan. Comes with good sized table. Couldn't justify the extra expense of the Posch.

Ah well hope it works well for you, heres a pic anyway, it looks low because the spacer has been removed from the bottom reducing the height by a good 5-6" to allow splitting 18" stuff.

We have a little Alko 6ton vertical splitter and we knocked out 80 tons last year. We probably average 6 loads a week and we manage fine. 50% of the cord I get would go through a processor, its a struggle lifting 24" rings let alone the whole log. It works for us because we have no on going investment to pay off. I don't think this is the ideal set up but be enjoy the hard work, for now anyway. We'll probably get a grand for a processor at some point in the future. Or maybe just get a job at Tesco delivering shopping.....

I'm in the same boat just bought a farmi wp30 towable processor and I intend to make the value of the machine back plus a bit of profit this year. Hopefully it should be manageable I'm giving the firewood a big push this year

What sort of price is the wp30 Drayton? Just googled it, nice looking piece of kit. What do you think of it?
