Do You Use Friction or pulley!?

im comparing the two climbing systems that seem to be fairly popular, for for one of my modules at college. The Friction hitch (blakes/prussic) compared to the pulley. any opinions are welcome, as long as they're fairly constructive at the least. everybodies help would be appreciated, and more the better.

I use a friction hitch with a pulley. I'm not quite sure what you are getting at.

hitch climbers all the way. grate bit of kit. have a art spider. also good but the clutch has worn and its £12 to replace it.

I use a VT and Hitch Climber Jack.

 

Everything you've described can be called a Friction Hitch. I'm guessing that you're talking about VT's Distel's etc when you're talking about Pulleys?

Only use prussics, that's how I was taught, but probably should at least experiment with more modern stuff.

by friction hitch i mean like a blakes, but i spose i should have been a bit clearer. sorry folks
