Dose anyone at stihl have a clue what they are doing? I can understand buying a chainsaw going into a shop, but parts??? Thats not the best of it, I have tried to order a TOY stihl chainsaw for my little lad, and I even have to go to a dealer to get that!! It's a toy!!! So as I'm doing my cs30,31,38,39 at the mow I was going to buy stihl, but looks like husky now!

Just reading through this thread and what strikes me is the obvious lack of communication from Stihl. There seems to be a lot of conjecture amongst you chaps in Europe (UK) as to what is exactly going on, when, how and why. This is just as damaging for Stihl's reputation as what an unpopular business decision is.

For any change that potentially inconveniences the customer through choice, cost or time needs a very good awareness and marketing campaign so as to retain some customer buy in through engagement.

I have herd nothing in Aus but by all accounts that means little judging by the poor way Stihl has gone about publicising the changes.

Good luck, maybe the only thing that could reverse any decision is if profit margins are affected to such a degree that financiers become vocal.

Cheers,

Tony
