Spray painting airfilter cover.

I want to spray the airfilter cover on my 201 so that I know its mine and everyone else does , before I do it just want to make 100% sure that im fine spraying the outside as well as the inside?

Why wouldn't you be?

 

Unless it under a warranty and if that bit breaks there may be some hassle over it. But then you would have to go face to face to a dealer to get it looked at......

 

I've seen plenty painted saws, none seem to have effected to saw at all. On resale it may be an issue with the buyer not wanting a painted saw.
