I went to the doctor last week! And he said I'd got an infection of the prostate. The pain is like I have been kicked in the balls (for want of a better way to describe it). I've been on antibiotics since last Wednesday. It seemed to be getting better by Saturday but the pain is back again. I have got an appointment to see the doctor again in the morning. Any one else had this sort of infection ? If so what was the outcome ?

Got an infection in one of the tubes in my left nut once. Felt like

Someone had an elastic band around it. Constant ache. Antibiotics didn't help much but anti inflammatories and getting the mrs to be a bit more gentle did. Hope things go well at the quacks.

Had the same thing about 4 months ago, the prostate is very difficult area to get the antibiotics to. Plus the medication is required to be taken for I think 6-8 weeks and not just a few weeks like some GP's prescribe. Im afraid it boils down to quality of care. I have private health care and I went to see a consultant with in 4 days. Could obviously take a lot longer on NHS. It can defo be sorted with the right attention. A consultant will arrange an intravenous antibiotic and massage the prostate if required to make sure it gets to the right place. Mine went after 2 weeks and I didnt need the prostate massage etc. If its that bad pay £200 to see a consultant and I guess about £400 for the treatment. Have you had a prostate examination? the pain could easily be something else like kidney infection, testicular infection etc..

Just getting over an upper urinary tract infection, I sympathize about the pain and the loo becomes a friend!

The worst bit is sitting on the loo, pissing standing up makes you pass out, and then pissing a thimble full and wanting to go again is the worse.

Antibiotics and a week necking water sorted mine and am awaiting for the sample to be analyzed!

Good luck M8
