Yup, Big disposal place close by has caught fire 3 times in the past 4 years. Last month around 300 tonnes of it caught fire and burnt for several days .

That's the official story. I have been working next door and they have had 3 fires this year. But the piles are a good 8 meters high so the risk of spontaneous combustion is higher than a smaller pile.
