I've worked the doors for 20 years mate, SIA license holder, getting a bit too old for all the rolling around on the floor stuff now so mostly do corporate stuff now, premiers, posh restaurants, private functions that sort of stuff, pays well and your not watching your back when your not at work, too many idiots with easy access to naughty stuff and not enough common sense to stop them using it.

Same as Mayhem and agree with him totally - 20 years at it and still earning almost the same as when I started :-( I can afford to be picky now and nice to spend time with mates I can trust to watch my back. Good cameraderie and will miss it when I finally finish. The Mrs. will hate it when I'm home every friday and saturday night tho!

Kicked off big time sat night, walked through club to check other DS outside. I didn't see what happened but it just erupted between three blokes one got held back by some one, I pinned one against the bar, whilst tring to get the others on radio which in the scuffle went on the floor. It seamed an age before the others came in but I was thankfull to see them!

Two regulars tried to help me one ended up with a bust nose and the other one got a kicking on the floor. The DJ came close to being thrown out too!
