Has any one tried one of them new chainsaw powered winches???? We are looking for a winch to pull big branches out of a moat.

Thanks will keep that in mind where about are you??? just sorta wondering the sorta tonnage it will pull the size of the saw needed and really if they are any good.

You need a 70cc+ saw to run it, and it will give about 1000 kgs of pull on a single line.

Theres always the exercise bike of arb: the tirfor winch or if you feel really brave and can find one a trewhella monkey winch. Both get rid of the beer gut and keep you warm.

How big are the branches? You want to look for a way of elevating them as they exit the moat, otherwise they'll just dig into the bank, and make your life very hard and that of the winch.

Id tirfor them, my woory with the chainsaw winch is the winch could stall and kickback
