Dya know what motor is in it? Got a feeling it's Ford powered...

 

Ye think its probably ford don't know if the cab is a ford of MF industrial unit. Bogies don't look that strong but probably the same as on the large drive trailers.

 

Look at the price of the modern equivalent. This things got 3000hrs I'd buy it if I had the work for such a small machine

on the 840 if you remove the plastic panel under all the switches theres 2 black boxes, they light up red or green both should be green,and theres a row of lights which when mini lever is activated they should go green corrensponding to which function you operated.it may be that its the seat sensor as ours played up and only one mini lever worked,join 2 wires together going to sensor to rule that out. we sold our 840 with 21,000 hrs 8 90% tyres,but back diff all smashed up for £20,000 but was a trade in!

That Timberliner looks very like the Gremo 904. That's what got me thinking Ford engine....

I didn't realise they had even built two forwarders. My friend in Wales was very impressed with the demo he had of the trailer which was PTO powered with a friction drive via a lorry drum brake.

Yes the trailers were very well regarded. Strong as anything, as you say pto drive. Been a couple on ebay recently, one near here, I've met the bloke with one in Derek Lane hydraulics one day.
