10th GreenMech Restoration.

The 10th GreenMech ever made is to be restored after it was discovered in the barn of the original owner. It is being restored as part of the celebrations of 20 years of GreenMech and 50 years of machinery manufacturing on the same site by the Turner Family.

Tony Turner, the Chairman of GreenMech, sold this machine to John Meickle of John Meikle ( Contractors) Ltd from Neilston, near Glasgow back in December 1995. It is still with them although an engine disaster a few years ago meant that it was parked up in the barn where it remained until a phone call revealed that it is still there.

It will soon be collected and returned to GreenMech where it will be restored - trying to keep to original spec where possible. Photographs will be uploaded as the work progresses but these are the type of brochures that were available for distribution at that time.

This is the machine being pulled from the barn. I think that it was parked in 1998/99 and used up-to the point that the engine tried to get rid of some parts! She was still chipping when the engine rejected a con rod in fact!

If I'm reading it right, this machine failed beyond repair after just three years of service?

Is that really the machine you want to restore and say: " hey look, we make awesome kit!" ?

Not trying to be a parade-pissing sort, just seems odd to me.
