BTW, I turned the Hitchzag the other way around. This way the lever on top is pointing out and is there no sharp bend where the rope goes over the pulley.

Same for me today. Well pleased with it.

few question.

whats the strength of thoses bolts you put in?

and how does the HC look and feel when you load it? be great to see a video.

Turning it backwards if pretty niffty too. does it still feel/work the same?

does this allow you to use the hauling system on the HC for gear chainsaws etc.

I have used a 12.9 rated 5mm inbus bolt with a 3cm unthreaded shaft on the HitchZag not 8.8!

For a video you can check my wolter kok boomonderzoek Facebook page.

I used it as on the picture and that works great. Slack tending with zero friction.

I don't think there is enough room between the shackle and roller in this setup. 1368473337655.jpg.c5e6b172090ee024551fa829b890d3d6.jpg

Bolt? - same as above. Def not your average 8.whatever!!

Look of HC is as last photo for mine too. Slightly angled so balance could be improved with a redesign.

I haven't used a HC for a long time but it feels good. I liked it.

As for hauling. I think the only way it will work well for that is if it is set up like the first pic on page 1 from the OP.

I just wish I could have a few more of those 'old' ZZ's from petzl to keep having a play with.

Now that a few of you guys have seen this new Hybrid and are liking it, what are your opinions on whether or not to get the MK2???

Jake
