Zippo handwarmer

I just received this in the post today and wondered if anyone else has one. It was cheap at only £10 and lasts 12+ hours with a good strong heat which would be great on cold days. Which is a but pointless now as it seems that we are having the beat weather in years!

Its a good piece of kit and I would recommend it to anyone that works or spends a lot of time outdoors!

 

The fuel is cheap also as it runs on lighter fluid and I bought 6 125 ml bottles for £7 and it hardly burns any fuel so overall a great buy!

I've got 2 , keep them in my wading jacket pockets when I'm fishing early season for salmon !

You soak the wool inside the casing in lighter fluid and light it. The fuel burns slow and heats the casing. Stays warm for hours:001_smile:

Zippo's are top notch never had a hand warmer I use my lighter lol (not that I smoke ya realize:blushing:) Made in PA (yankee but we make allowances lol)

It uses a catalytic converter (the mesh type thing on the top of the body) so there is no flame, you just heat the head with a lighter for a few seconds and the it burns or converts the fumes into heat!

These things are awesome. But they have been around for years.invented for ladies back in the day. Keep there hand warm.

 

I havnt got one as I don't suffer the cold but know a few that do. I have felt the warmth they give off ad it's actually hot when you take the top off.
