It's a bit of a knotty rascal - plan is to take the Peterson mill and large Alaskans up there.

Can do a good price for timber bought in bulk directly from the site i.e 50 cube a time for £10-00 inc vat per cube... This would be for 2" by 8" or thicker pieces.... more waste and more work cutting thinner so will be a bit more.

Can do some large slabs for a little more than this if needed or if you just want a nice wide slab of timber (more like £20 inc vat per cube for these).

Please PM me if you are interested in any. I'll also be making some large picnic benches there - £250-00 per bench to seat 8 people. You'll need strong arms and a trailer for those.

Similar benches to those in pic below - I tend to do the legs coming out at an angle now though.

Great pics love the branch stubs on the Yew. I take it there concreted in? Great trunk on that I cant wait to see the grain on it.

Sequoia I believe :001_cool:

That is a big ugly lump of a tree Rob! There is enough timber in it to yield some quality boards though - look forward to seeing the results!

Have been doing this cedar for a couple of days - not full days I think 5 hours each.

Log rolling with the new Woodchuck log lifters and rollers. I am the new importer for these as they are very well made and very well designed.

The Woodchuck - The TimberJack - The Dual

Good progress although one of the smaller logs was just firewood. Some big planks off the end section - that's a 59" bar and 56" mill almost maxed so a good 48" widest point.

Have found getting someone to pull the mill up the log with a short rope reduces the energy by 60 to 70%... makes things very easy.

Have managed to take the first slab off the top of the main section... back tom and hopefully will be able to fit the Peterson around it.
