Try the hard head wedges you'll not bust em so easy. If not cut your own outta what you got ie face slabs etc ......it cheap and they disposable. I never used hi lift if a tree need that much blacksmithing I done something wrong somewhere. .........Seriously tho if you gotta wallop them that hard so they bust there gotta be something else not quite right.

 

 

A friend of mine said "Son I know all there is about wedges and wedging ......they make you sweat ......then handled me the axe and walked of laughing

chapping trees over all day every day takes it toll,if you dont hit the yellow oregon ones bang on they will crack rendering them dangerous,carrying a steely about all day isnt an option when on real steep ground,currently got some stihl ones which are pretty good it has to be said

I will pass on stihl versus husky lol I brought my wedges back with me lol.......I trying to be funny with the "blacksmithing thing" it just a joke we used to use when we heard some one walloping wedges. As certain guys kinda have to wallop more than others, sorry didn't mean to be offensive
