Morning all arbtalkers.

im looking to move off my simple rope grab on my lanyard but undecided on which may be best suited for the job ive read a few other threads but im still usnsure so would like peoples opinions and how each react with differnt rope sizes.

i understand the clinch works best upto 11mm of dynamic cord

but what are they both like in ajustments slackening the line. can you do it single handed unlike the rope grab.

many thanks.

Having used both I would say the cinch is better because you can adjust it using either the lever or for quick adjustments just give it a squeeze plus it is good in SRT mode.

I use globe with mine really good combo.

I liked the positioner but found it kinda jerky the cinch is a lot smoother

does anyone actually use a positioner.

when you talk about it being jerky it that because its senstive to it just grabs some ropes hard if its soft outer?

with the clinch it has 2 motions to release ive just read ?

With the positioner to make it run smooth you have to take your weight off the lanyard which sometimes isn't ideal when your out on skinny branch walks.

When the lanyard is weighted this is when the positioner becomes jerker.

positioner is great , swivel is the way to go defiantly. got one on my wirecore and rope lanyard.

The Positioner can be smooth if you also grab your lanyard with the same hand as your releasing one so it slows the rope as it goes through , as for the cinch i haven't had the pleasure of using one yet.

Pinto and hitch, I,m going to bin my cinch as its now worn out and will on grab rough 11mm lines, looking to make my own version of the ce lanyard as its even more versatile and smoother.

But if I had to go mechanical Cinch all the way.
