Chainsaw trouser size

I was interested in the 'Stihl Hi-flex' ad and checked out the size on Stihl's website. Now the waist would be good for me but the leg length is far to long. My problem is that while being short, I have a somewhat rotund physique. So not wanting to be standing on/tripping over yet another overlong trouser; is it possible to shorten chainsaw trousers? One presumes the need for a heavy duty sewing machine, like a sail maker would use. Or is sticking with chaps my only option, if I want a good fit?

With cs trousers i wouldn't adapt the trousers at all. This is because you'd weaken the whole structure of the kevlar etc and ud just end up with an expensive pair of jeans.

If its helps im on average a 30'' waist and take a size small for the hi flex and a extra small in the x-fit trouser. I think the length is 30-32'' long (or short) lol and when wear cs boots they fit just right

It maybe best to go to a shop and try some on with the different makes available bud

Thanks for the prompt reply. I'll check those out.

Does anyone have opinions on how tough the 'Dynamic' range is?

Would still be interested to know if cs trousers can be shortened.

I find it impossible to believe that anything could be less tough than Hiflex.

Englebert Strauss do short leg cs trousers , boy I know has a pair and he's about 5ft 4" and about 15 stone.

My goodness, there's two of us. Better not go hang gliding together and BASE would be a bit more hairy.
