Large monterey takedown

My first ever post to the forum, only learnt to climb 18 months ago so no doubt there will be bits that the more experienced climber would have done differently etc.

Any constructive criticism welcome :001_tongue:

Also, I was the one who rather stupidly walked behind the stem as the groundsman felled it (only way past), I was expecting him to take longer then he did combined with miss communication. Shall not do that again!

Thanks

Good job Deezy, you got 'er done. Gotta love cut and freefall jobs. I had a beach last week that I could just wreck out.

One tip, when felling out big peices of wood, it helps to cut a deeper face cut, making the centre of gravity closer to the centre of the peice, and thus making it alot easier to tip off.

Good work.

Nicely edited video (not too long!). Technique doesn't look too bad. Apart from those items mentioned above, I would recommend not leaving long stubs. Not a great problem when you are letting it all fall to the ground, but can become a right pain when lowering stuff. Trust in your spikes and safety strops...they do work....honest!
